So you’re looking for a 7 inch tablet? Much more mobile than their 10″ or larger brethren, 7″ tablets are great for people who require a tablet that can travel with them especially in places with limited room like airplanes and buses. There is a wide selection of 7 inch tablet you can buy online however in this review we’ll only look at the best reviewed by people have bought and used the tablet. The price ranges for these tablets will vary but you can expect to pay anywhere from $150 to $500 for a tablet of this size (price varies based on features).

The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 tablet is what I would describe as an Android alternative to the iPad. Pretty much the epitome of high end Android tablets, if you have the money to spend ($400 – $600) you will be very happy with this tablet. Its the first 7″ tablet with Google Mobile Services and Google Android Marketplace.
Features
- 800 x 480 screen
- Android 2.2 OS
- 512 MB internal memory
- microSD slot (up to 32GB)
- Access to Gmail, YoutTube, Voice Search, etc (Google Mobile Service Apps)
- Front .3 MP camera, Back 3 MP camera
- 3G ready to be connected to a cell-phone network (Quad-band GSM)
- Wi-fi (b/g)
- Bluetooth 2.1
- GPS
- 3.5mm stereo output for headphones
- Battery life: 4-6 hours
- Google App Marketplace for app downloads
- eReader Compatibility: TXT, HTML, EPUB, PDF
- $400-$600 depending where you buy
This tablet ultimately is a good choice for people looking for something like a 3G iPad tablet but is running Android. While not as performance heavy as the eLocity tablet, this tablet should be a good choice for people looking for something more like a cellphone than a mobile computer. All of its built-in features will make it a great choice for those seeking a 7″ tablet with 3G, GPS, and mobile services however there are better choices if that’s not what you need in a tablet.

For people seeking a good, mobile entertainment tablet will really like this Creative tablet. While it does have its downsides (like no Google marketplace), it does have some positives like its price-point and included features. For $250, you really can’t go wrong with this tablet and many customers agree its a great choice. All in all, a great 7 inch tablet.
